As part of its efforts to help contain the pandemic, expert organization DEKRA has given more than 15,000 people across Germany the BioNTech vaccine to date. At the start of the vaccination campaign on June 7, the main focus was on immunizing company staff. Since the start of July, this service was expanded to include their family members. And in fact, DEKRA customers’ employees now make up the significant majority of those being vaccinated.
- Many external customers taking advantage of on-site vaccinations
- 20 DEKRA locations active across Germany
- Family members also vaccinated since start of July
- Second doses to be given from next week
DEKRA’s 73 company doctors are delivering vaccinations at 20 selected DEKRA locations in Germany, supported by additional medical personnel. In addition, the doctors are vaccinating on site at the company premises of DEKRA customers. These include firms from the logistics and transportation industry, municipal enterprises, manufacturers of various sizes, and discount stores.
“The uncomplicated vaccination process is highly popular, as it is a straightforward, convenient way for the companies to take care of their workforces,” says DEKRA’s head of region for Germany, Guido Kutschera. “At the same time, it is an important part of our efforts to assume social responsibility in the fight against the pandemic and to provide quicker protection against the coronavirus variants.”
DEKRA’s range of occupational medicine services includes occupational health care, preventive care, check-ups, aptitude tests, and occupational health management (covering areas such as nutrition, exercise, and stress management, in addition to workplace assessments such as risk assessments).
